Reverend Horace Price, Sr. & Second Lady Rosemary Kline Price
Horace Price, Sr., was born April 20, to the late Howard and Lula Price, in Tallulah, Louisiana. He is the fifth of fifteen. He was educated at Thomastown Elementary, Middle School and High School. He attended Grambling on a basketball scholarship and received his BS in Industrial Arts. He holds a degree in heating and air-conditioning. He worked for Houston Independent School District for 28 years before retiring, but his real job is working for the Lord. His ministry began as a Deacon at New Faith Baptist, where, lead by the Holy Spirit, he accepted his calling to the ministry and became an ordained minister in 1983. He attended the College of Biblical Studies. He currently serves as the Assistant Pastor and Youth Minister at Abiding Faith. It is his prayer that others see Jesus shining through him and his ministry.
Rosemary Kline Price was born in Tallulah, Louisiana to the late Rev. Edward Kline, Sr. and the late Ethel Mae Bosby Kline. She attended Thomastown Elementary, Middle and High School. She graduated Valedictorian and received a full academic scholarship to Grambling State University. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., and graduated from Grambling State University, cum laude, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics. She also holds a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Houston.
Horace and Rosemary are charter members, and Rosemary serves faithfully as a Deaconess, a Greeter and a member of the Cotillion Committee. They have two daughters, a son, and an adopted daughter, six grandchildren and one adopted granddaughter. One son-in-law Billy, II, and one daughter-in-law have also complemented the family unit as a spouse to their daughter and son.
Rosemary retired from the Houston Independent School District where she was employed for 31 years. Her hobbies are sewing and crafts. Rosemary says she sincerely believes in putting Christ first and knows that when she does “all other things will fall in their correct places”.
